The Audiovisual Digital Asset Specialist leads efforts to deliver raw and edited content (proactively and reactively) through the use and promotion of all available ICRC channels and tools used for digital asset management. S/he provides guidance and support to staff at all levels of the organization on digital asset management and produces in-depth reports on the use of our digital asset management tools. S/he identifies trends regarding effective digital asset management and recommends solutions to be applied in-house according to best practice.
The Audiovisual Digital Asset Specialist provides digital communication expertise, related to digital assets used in communication, including providing guidance to senior communication staff members, and supervising the implementation of Audiovisual workflows designed to improve production efficiency, as well as actively interacts with media, production companies, freelancers, digital agencies and National Societies.

Audiovisual Digital Asset Specialist
(Location Belgrade)
MAIN TASKS
- Ensures the accurate, timely and effective distribution and management of digital video, photo, audio and graphic assets, to be used for communication, partnering with Audiovisual Producers, Social Media leads, Web Editors, Digital Officers, AV Archivists, Regional Communication Centres and communication teams in delegations, as well as ICT
- Creates best practices and manages the Audiovisual Production workflow
- Supports the management of official ICRC digital asset management platforms, uploading, downloading, and sharing content using a variety of additional tools where needed to support colleagues
- Uses a variety of analytical tools to monitor and understand how colleagues are using the different content sharing and management tools
- Produces reports about how digital assets are being used by colleagues, and reports trends and outcomes to colleagues in ICT, and suggests and implements solutions to improve the management of digital assets for communication across the organization
- Works alongside regional focal points to deliver training to colleagues and peers on how to use the digital asset management tools, and coordinates monthly meetings attended by the regional focal points
- Provides in-depth guidance on how best to manage and share digital assets, and supports colleagues to adopt new tools and ways of working
- Is the focal point in the Cross Media Unit for all video and photo digital asset management queries from ICRC, internal, and external, public stakeholders (e.g. media, production companies and National societies)
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Degree in communications, journalism, film & TV production, preferably with a digital background and specialization (managing media asset management systems, social media platforms, video projects, etc.)
- Typically, 3-5 years’ overall professional experience along with a minimum 3 years’ experience in digital communication, audiovisual production or archiving
- Skilled computer uses of digital asset management, and audiovisual design and production tools (Adobe and/or iOS & Final Cut Pro)
- Expertise in video and photo editing and compression, and publishing for broadcast and social media platforms
- Proficient with Mac and PC operating systems
- Public speaking skills and ability to communicate about technical matters in both 1-1 conversations and larger audiences in training settings
- Fluent in English
- Creative and open-minded with a customer-centric approach to problem solving
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
