Background: Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Context:
Within the EU funded project, implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in partnership with the Serbian Commissariat for Refugees and Migration (SCRM), “Support to the information management, communication and planning capacity in addressing the migration management challenges in Serbia”, the support in external relations within the SCRM will be established. The successful candidate will work under direct supervision of the Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, in close coordination with senior management staff of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Support increase partner/government/reception centers and local community information about SCRM activities;
- Assist the SCRM field teams on reporting and monitoring;
- Support developing and guidance of the implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans for current/new programmes, including budget revisions to ensure that plans are risk-based and focused on measuring results;
- Support organization of monitoring and evaluation meetings;
- Assist production of frequent monitoring and evaluation progress reports with status of results and implementation of improvements, in close collaboration with internal counterparts and external partners;
- Support strengthening the quality and consistency of monitoring and evaluation activities in the field;
- Conduct surveys for field data collection;
- Proper documentation of research reports, studies and evaluations;
- Support effective coordination with the Project team and the stakeholders to ensure smooth conduct of the monitoring;
- Undertake duty travel to the field locations;
- Other duties as assigned to support the Project team and work of the SCRM.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Sociology, Economics, Management or other relevant field;
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in government institution or international/national setting;
- Minimum 1 year of experience in monitoring and evaluation;
- Capacity to communicate clearly;
- Excellent organizational skills.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required.
