COMMERCIAL MANAGER

The Company with its broad range of high-quality innovative special fertilizers for extended & cash crops represents the world leader particularly in areas of liquids post-innovative crop nutrients for field crops, vegetables, fruits and vines, nursery & ornamentals.

SUMMARY

Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the company. Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department. Supervise processes for customers in accordance with company policies and local laws procedures.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the products commercial policy in the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local, country and international law and process
  • Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant export law and procedures; tariffs and duties; licences and restrictions
  • Manage financial and currency processes and transactions in accordance with policy and law, and to optimise cost-effectiveness of activities
  • Communicate with supervisors logistics management and related authorities, and customers, in all relevant territories, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities
  • Plan and implement sales strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the organization
  • Manage all customer, staff reporting to the position so as to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities
  • Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in commercial activity and procedures
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to commercial activities
  • Manage/liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon export activities
  • Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, for example: shipping schedules; letters of credit; credit control mechanisms; registration procedures; planning & budgeting; packing, routing, transport and safety documentation methods, which meet optimally the needs of the organization and customers
  • Manage language and communications translation issues and activities as necessary to enable effective relations, distribution and integration of exported material, product, equipment within the supply chain of customer (for example handling instructions, operating manuals, product and people training etc)
  • Negotiate contracts for sales, services and manage renew, review contracts as required to enable effective trading, operations and customer relations

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrange all relevant travelling and manage expenditures according company policies

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellence in English is required
  • Agronomical studies in a higher level are required
  • >+4years of experience in relevant positions is required
  • An MBA is desirable
  • Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology
  • Experience in supervising project and team activities
  • Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including travelling abroad

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment
