Contracts Manager

Job Description
Responsibilities of a Contracts Manager:
- Determining the scope of work for initial contracts and/or change orders;
- Draft the initial contract and/or change order per the information received from Operations and/or Commercial;
- Serve as a client contact during the negotiation phase and remain as point-of-contact with clients;
- Quality check (QC) review of contracts;
- QC and review contracts and associated budgets for junior team members
- Train and mentor junior team members;
- Act as primary client contact on medium to large-sized opportunities;
- Administer contracts and change orders ensuring compliance with company policies;
- Initiate and/or review proposed contract modifications and negotiate or refer to other internal departments for review as appropriate;
- Provide regular updates;
- Track contract renewal periods and proactively prepare budgets for future years of the contracts;
- Update the sales tracking database and save all relevant working and final documents onto the Business Development portal;
- Ensure all fully executed contracts are distributed to the relevant parties;
- Working independently under time pressure to meet tight deadlines. Must be able to manage workload and prioritise activities to ensure timely completion of assignments;
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Management.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in Contracts or a similar industry.
Person Specification
- Exceptional written communication skills including technical, business and commercial writing and editing.
- Excellent attention to detail and proof reading to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Strong oral communication skills including communicating in a clear and concise manner.
- Calm and organised working under pressure in a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Strong initiative to learn.
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel to advanced level.
- Ability to manage relationships and communicate with senior managers and directors.
- SalesForce experience is highly desirable.
