We are looking for a Logistics Lead, based in Belgrade.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will:
- Manage cross departmental relationships and needs assessment with projects, operations, finance, legal and IS&T teams
- Develop, implement and maintain internal Supply and Free Trade Zone operating procedures
- Ensure complete FTZ process integration with company’s ERP system
- Provide internal FTZ Management & Compliance training; Prepare Manuals and Training Materials
- Secure the smooth start of FTZ construction phase
- Interface with freight forwarders, customs officers, and other functional areas to ensure proper customs integration and entry for goods into and out of FTZ
- Manage all reporting and accounting tasks related to the inventory, administration and compliance
- Keep up to date on legislative changes impacting FTZ
What you’ll bring
- BSc at minimum in Law, economy or technical background
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience
- Solid experience in customs management
- Experience in free trade zone implementation compliance and in Authorized Economic Operator will be highly regarded
- Combination of strategic and operational experience
- Additional specialized courses and seminars would be a plus
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluency in Serbian and English

Where you’ll be working
The Jadar project is a greenfield Underground mine and process plant development located approximately 40km south-east of Loznica, Serbia. An underground mine, comprising of a production shaft, exhaust shaft, development levels, access to production stopes, mobile mining equipment and associated infrastructure. The process plant is designed to produce boric acid, lithium carbonate and sodium sulfate.
Jadar project commenced the feasibility study in Aug 2020. The project business strategy is to develop Jadar as a core, Tier 1 asset with synergies with Rio Tinto Business, enabling a green future and creating value for both Rio Tinto and Serbia. The project execution goal is to derive maximum value from Jadar for its stakeholders, while also delivering on the promised outcomes.
