Mecaplast is opening a Serbian site in Zrenjanin! The automotive equipment manufacturer have been awarded by FIAT to develop and manufacture Interior, Exterior and Engine parts for a small family vehicle.

Methods Engineer

Job description:

1. Carries out training for workers concerned in the process and ensures deployment and capitalization of technical skills in the site.

• Trains and assists workers concerned on work methods, operational processes, tools
• Takes necessary decisions for the optimization of results without questioning initial data

2. Carries out productivity on existing products/processes

• Ensures technology watch
• Manages the technical database
• Participates in the process setting in mass production and optimizes it
• Intervenes technically on processes and workstations to carry out technical improvement actions
• Plans or directs interventions on tooling, assembly machines and product
• Enhances reliability on  production equipment aiming to improve the quality, safety, etc of existing means
• Proposes innovating technical solutions on current manufacturing procedures aiming to reach productivity objectives, improvement in quality and safety, reduction in the running time
• Negotiates with possible external service providers and validates the implementation of the checking fixtures and efficiency measurements in the workshop
• Leads a working group to identify causes of quality problems
• Carries out or coordinates the technical problem- solving of quality problems (technical PPM , COMEX)
• Analyzes potential risks of non-quality and ensures transverse deployment
• uses timekeeping  analysis and red/green method to optimize process
• checks cost price of parts comparing with quotation/ real cost

3.Carries out integration of new product/ process on the site

• Participates in FMEA product/ process
• Makes the interface between industrialisation and putting into production of process
• Initializes the creation of the CAPMS technical data (Items, BOM, control Instruction sheets)
• Draws up the process setting sheets ( parameters) and related documents
• Carries out the necessary programming for the operating of specific equipment
• Participates with the industrialisation in the production and follow-up of new products
• Carries out the acceptance of machines and tooling
• Defines, carries out and validates new packing and packaging
• Defines plant process flows and layout of machines
• Follows plant workload and OEE
• Defines appropriation of ideal mould/ press
• Searches for and analyzes the causes of customer incidents
• Defines action plan to eliminate non-quality

4. Guarantees all product/process modifications of the site

• Receives requests for modification
• Checks that the data supplied is complete and if not, contacts the customer to obtain the missing data
• Organizes procedures for the implementation of the modification if management is possible internally
• Identifies suitable sub-contractor if the modification is done externally and negotiates with the sub-contractor the best conditions for carrying out the modification
• Guarantees compliance with deadlines and  quality requirements
• Carries out complete control of modifications related to productivity improvements

Requirements:

Specialisation:

• Methods Engineer

Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of production technologies     
• Knowledge of  injection product/process and/or painting /decoration and/or assembly
• Knowledge of accounting/ economics 
• Skilled in CAD Software (Autocad, Pro engineer, Visio)

Main skills and abilities:

• Self-disciplined, methodical, good organization and communication skills and priority management.
• Team leadership ability
• Solid knowledge of production process optimization tools and methods (MTS, timekeeping, hoshin, kaizen, Takt time, etc.) and problem-solving tools
• Capable of controlling productivity improvement management
