We are looking for folks to join our team on the following position:

Senior Software R&D Engineer

As a Senior Software R&D Engineer you will need to think strategically, have strong research practices, and be able to target and present your research findings to a variety of audiences. You will need to be able to work in an agile development process and juggle multiple deliverables. Additionally, you’ll need to be detail-oriented and thorough in your approach to research methodology, but flexible enough to work within time and product constraints. Most importantly, you’ll need to be a passionate advocate for our users throughout the development process and demonstrate how this leads to business value.

But we set the bar high, here is what we expect:

• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary product teams (designers, program managers, product planners and developers) to drive applications into products
• 3 or more years of experience with OO languages (Java, C++)
• 1 or more years of experience on projects as a project lead
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of Web services: REST, SOAP
• DB knowledge: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
• Source control (SVN, Git…)
• Good debugging/problem solving abilities
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques
• Passion and iniciative for continual learning about new technologies and approaches
• Team player with good time management skills
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills in English

Following skills will be considered an advantage:

• Rich web applications knowledge (HTML5, Javascript, jQuery, Ajax)
• Android/iOS expertise
• Linux expertise

Responsibilities:

• Project planning, milestones/deadlines date definition, scope of work assessment etc.
• Technical knowledge of all the relevant products and projects, software architecture and design within a team
• Involvement in code and documentation review
• Writing code
