Partners for Democratic Change Serbia, established in December 2008, is a civil society organization committed to advancing the rule of law, conflict prevention and resolution, democracy and human rights, citizen participation, and civil society in Serbia and in the region.
Partners Serbia is a member of Partners for Democratic Change International (PDCI), a partnership of national Centers, based in Brussels and headed by Partners for Democratic Change (Partners), established in 1989, as an international, non-governmental organization committed to providing the platform, skills and leadership to government, civil society and businesses to resolve conflict and advance constructive change. In over 19 years of building local capacity in core democracy skills, Partners has built 19 independent, sustainable, national Centers to house the application of conflict and change management skills and programs in Albania, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Colombia, Georgia, Hungary, Jordan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Yemen. www.partnersglobal.org
Vacancy opportunity:
For its expanding portfolio, Partners Serbia is seeking a Program Assistant for the rule of law, good governance, anti-corruption, and conflict prevention and resolution programs, to work directly with the Center Director, independently and together with other staff, and to provide administrative and programmatic support, including: project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, event planning and preparation, narrative and financial reporting; donor research, proposal preparation for future projects; occasional assistance with general office administration and management; translation and interpretation as required. Occasional travel and participation in activities outside Belgrade is anticipated.
The position is flexible and there is an opportunity for increasingly interesting and complex local, regional and international work following demonstrated proficiency. Salary is competitive, commensurate with skills, experience and achieved results. This is an excellent opportunity for a hard and diligent worker motivated to gain experience, exposure and advance skills in these fields.
There is a possibility of legal internship practice for the state bar examination candidates.
Qualifications:
University graduate (law, social sciences); previous work experience in international environment, NGO sector and project management is advantage; interest in ADR, conflict and change management; strong research, writing and editing skills; fluency in English (written & spoken); computer proficiency; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under deadlines, independently or as part of a team; desire to learn and advance.
