PRODUCT MANAGER OTC/CONSUMER HEALTH
Job purpose:
- To be the marketing expert and develop strategic marketing plans which must be in line with the international strategy and result in continuous sales and profit growth
- To know the consumer and competition in order to operate the entire product portfolio successfully, to manage the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- To analyse market data and key competitors, to conduct market research and translate into effective marketing communication
- To supply sales team with the necessary product knowledge, sell-in stories/arguments and sales tools, to educate sales team about the go-to-market strategy and to help them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, target customers/consumers
Main tasks:
- To be the marketing expert and develop strategic marketing plans which must be in line with the international strategy and result in continuous sales and profit growth
- To know the consumer and competition in order to operate the entire product portfolio successfully, to manage the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
- To analyse market data and key competitors, to conduct market research and translate into effective marketing communication
- To supply sales team with the necessary product knowledge, sell-in stories/arguments and sales tools, to educate sales team about the go-to-market strategy and to help them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, target customers/consumers
- Analyse sales and optimise profitability at SKU level and overall product portfolio
- Manage and monitor product/stock inventory in cooperation with local logistics department and provide short-/long term product sales forecast
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies in line with international strategy
- Define and implement marketing plans in cooperation with all departments (sales, regulatory, logistics etc.): achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue and profit for all sales channels/product categories and/or key customers (distribution and trade partners)
- Plan and control marketing budget, analyse the return on investment of previous marketing communication to plan effectively for the coming season
- Gain competitive quotes for all projects, initiate cost saving recommendations and agency search for all marketing materials
- Manage and execute product/communication relaunches and introduce/launch new products according to international strategy
- Identify opportunities and trends for product innovation and product enhancements and provide feedback to International Product Management
- Evaluate and develop cooperation with local KOLs/professional experts Participate on local congresses, cycle sales meetings and international product and marketing meetings/trainings
- Implement product launch presentations, sales aids and product information sheets provided by International Product Management
- Adapt marketing materials (toolbox) provided by International Product Management to local language and develop further promotion materials according to international brand book(s)
- Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from customers and consumers
- Visit key customers and accompany sales reps to collect feedback on company products and services
- Act as a product advocate to build awareness and understanding, work closely with Business Unit Manager, Sales Manager and International Product Management
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as processing information files, reporting and other paper work
Requirements:
- Master degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Economics or Marketing
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Minimum 3 years experience in appropriate position in the OTC-pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent communication skills (also in English verbal and written)
- Skilled at effectively leading sales and marketing team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Driver license – B category
