Numerical Simulation Engineer – Finite element
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the numerical simulation analysis and exploitation of calculation models, related to the main vehicle bodywork services.
- Warrants that the calculation models are in compliance with the procedures; through the analysis of the simulation results, comes up with ways to explain the deviations in relation to the target and drafts a countermeasures implementation plan.
- Knows the components of the bodywork and their impact on main vehicle services.
- Takes part in the impact assessment of the new structure blueprint (innovation, competition) within his/her project;
- Comes up with ways to improve the existing tools;
- Comes up with new ways and tools of numerical simulation;
- Takes part in the correlations of testing/calculation.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Higher education in the field of Mechanical Engineering;
- At least 2 years of professional experience in dimensioning of structures (preferably vehicle bodywork);
- Relevant experience in one of the following fields: resistance, vibrations, passive safety;
- Knowledge of one or more numerical simulation programs: ANSA/ METApost, Pam-Crash, Nastran, Abaqus;
- Good language skills: English or French (writing/reading);
- Flexibility, ability to learn and adapt to changes
