Senior Accountant

to work in Belgrade

Purpose of job:

As part of Accounting department at MOL Serbia d.o.o., Senior Accountant will be responsible for proper facilitation of financial and tax accounting (including inventory, services, sales,  VAT, local taxes etc.) with the ability to obtain, post, review, analyze and communicate financial and non-financial data and reports. Senior Accountant will be responsible for supervision the accountants.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain accounting records, ensure high quality of accounting accuracy and timeliness of reporting
• Ensure compliance with policies & procedures, IFRS as well as statutory requirements
• Participate in month-end and year-end close process
• Responsible for review of journal entries, accruals & provisions, reconciliation of sub-ledger balances, stock taking and OPEX control
• Responsible for local taxes and cooperate with company units in all tax matters
• Provide assistance to Chief Accountant with annual external audit. Complete requested material and assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit
• Participation in developing and improving accounting policy and procedures of the company

Requirements:

• College / university degree
• Min 5 years in accounting, out of  min 2 years senior / leadership
• English – at least upper intermediate
• In depth knowledge of Serbian accounting & taxation legislation
• Collaborative approach and team work
• Analytical thinking and devoted to details
• Knowledge of NAVISION software is an advantage
• Auditor experience / certification is an advantage
