Position overview:

You will be responsible for accounting/finance support to our business in EMEA and dealing with general accounting tasks. You will be also taking part in creation of relevant reports, respecting the local GAAP requirements and existing company procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Active participation in the processes of: intercompany adjustment, loans, receivables and billing, posting and checking invoices, fixed asset accounting, financial planning and reporting.
• Conducting business transactions in accordance with US GAAP, local GAAP, standards Ball Corporation and Ball Packaging Europe, as well as the local legislation regarding the entities for which it is responsible.
• Active participation in the daily activities of the accounting entity for which those responsible.
• Carrying out accounting activities in different financial systems (SAP, JDE).
• Participating actively in month end closing.
• Active participation in the monthly calculation of the trial balance of the entity for which it is responsible.
• Preparation of reports relating to taxes on income and value added tax and other tax reports in collaboration with external consultants and / or central tax department entities for which it is responsible.
• Support in the preparation of tax returns and all requirements as defined in the accounting and tax rules providing the necessary information from its direct jurisdiction of the entities for which it is responsible.
• Assistance in tax audits in the field of their direct responsibility of the entities for which it is responsible.
• Participating in audit preparation & support in its area of responsibility.

Knowledge and skills required:

• University level degree within Finance
• At least 3 years of working experience in finance or accounting area
• Experience in SAP, desirable experience in JDE
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Analytical skills with high attention to details
• Fluency in written and spoken English
