We are hiring several software developers and we are inviting applications from experienced professionals or talented and ambitious juniors to develop web based user interface tools for financial markets software. We are a market leading financial technology provider for banks, brokers, and hedge funds. Web based user interface development skills are mandatory.

Candidates should have studied Computer Science, or a closely related numeric field. A "can do" professional attitude and an ability to learn quickly is crucial. Candidates will also work on code deployments, automation tasks, code reviews, and bug fixes. Flexible attitude with an ability to multitask across different projects is essential. Must be a good communicator, as the work involves liaising with internal stakeholders, project and product managers, and senior managers.

Job Responsibilities

• Writing pre-tackle plans for lead developer review before writing code.
• Designing code to be re-usable. Refactoring code for optimised applications.
• Developing in-house bespoke institutional trading systems software and internal portals.
• Carry out requests and requirements from key project/product stakeholders.
• Projects include a mixture of trading systems, reporting, monitoring, internal modules, and risk management portals.
• Proactive completion of work and seek resolutions to blockers with managers.

Experience and abilities

• Excellent fluent written and spoken English and able to learn technical and financial concepts quickly
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. MEAN full stack experience is a bonus.
• Experience in knockout.js or another rich JavaScript application framework.
• Solid web development experience in a .NET environment.
• Strong C#, ASP.NET, MVC 4/5 and Web Sockets.
• MS SQL, MySQL, and Java desirable.
• Ability to work with a team and interact with a flexible and mature attitude to work.
• Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize different tasks quickly.
• Solid academic background, postgraduate level a plus, or solid work experience.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated and ambitious.
• Experience with real-time web applications with high volume updates a bonus.
• Forex or other financial markets knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience with crypto/blockchain technology represents a plus

Qualifications

• BSc / BEng in Computer Science or a closely related field preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written command of English is mandatory.
