Senior Accountant
NOVOMATIC Lottery Solutions Belgrade
Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) in Belgrade is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Accountant responsible for legal administration, bookkeeping, cost controlling and treasury.
The Accountant is responsible for the financial accounting of NOVOMATIC Lottery Solutions in Serbia and will be a part of the finance team directly responding to Finance Manager. The position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

YOUR
TASKS
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising on needed actions
  • Financial accounting, reconciliation and month end closing
  • VAT reconciliation and tax-return in accordance with local tax legislation
  • Reporting to authorities, e.g. export figures and contractors
  • Reconciliation of financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Recording and maintaining assets inventory listings, with depreciation
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Maintenance of financial security by following internal controls
  • IFRS Quarterly Reporting for NLS Serbia
  • Create a Year-end Report and communicate with auditors;  
  • Create the annual budget and other reporting statements; 
  • Prepare the financial reports (balance sheets);
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Any other projects as defined by CFO
YOUR
PROFILE
  • University degree in Economy (ideally with specialization in Finance/Controlling)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in a similar role in accountancy for an international corporation
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Serbian accounting principles
  • Experience in using of Navision accountancy package (latest NAV 2015)
  • Accountancy license is an advantage
  • Work in standardized banking tools, preparing payments, dealing with banking tool
  • Experience with budget planning, managing reporting processes and developing controlling standards
  • Ability to develop and maintain management information systems and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of English language - full working proficiency 
  • Excellent MS-Office knowledge, especially in regards to MS Excel
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
