GTECH Ogranak Beograd is company for software development and implementation. We are part of GTECH S.p.A. group. We develop and implement software systems for games, lotteries, sports betting companies. Our clients are commercial and state companies around the world.
Our Belgrade office has immediate need for 3 positions of:
1st Line Support Technician
As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for the receipt of problems reported by our clients, and the co-ordination of rapid and appropriate responses/resolution to incidents and requests, including:
- Troubleshooting issues. Locating faults and/or reasons for faults
- Providing information relating to issues
- Channelling requests for assistance to appropriate resources
- Monitoring progress. Keeping customers appraised of progress.
Role Responsibility
- Assist clients in a pleasant and professional manner. Ensure issues raised contain enough relevant information for Troubleshooting
- Assist developers to determine root cause of issues, and resolution
- Ensure all issues raised by clients are responded to in a timely manner
- Follow escalation procedures. Ensure relevant developers are involved if issues cannot be resolved at 1st line
- Providing advice to clients on systems, products, and services which are available to them
- Undertakes any other tasks as requested by Management
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have IT experience in the majority of the following:
- Oracle PL/SQL skills with 9i/10g/11g (essential)
- The following skills are desired but not essential
- Visual Basic 6/C#/.NET
- Java
- ASP
- Windows 2003/2008/7/8
- Linux
The ideal candidate must also possess the following:
- Excellent English (other languages such as French, Hungarian, or Greek would be a bonus)
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to understand the needs of customers
- Organised and methodical
- Demonstrates initiative and anticipates needs
- Forward thinking. Considers ideas for improvements
- Self-motivated
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with any scripting languages (cmd, vbscript, power shell…)
- Familiarity with networking (basic TCP/IP knowledge, resolve names, ping, netstat, tracert…)
GTECH Belgrade offers a 24 hour on call service, 7 days a week. Candidates must be flexible to cover 24 hour shifts on a team rota; rota time is additionally reimbursed (on top of base salary).
