Accountant - German speaking

Position Description:

Prime objectives of the Shared Service Centre Accounts Payable Accountant is timely processing of high volume or Purchase invoices, maintain Account Payable Ledgers, corresponding Bank entries & reconciliations for Ametek CTS Entities and strict adherence to Corporate DLA and CTS Processes.

Primary Functions

Accounts Payable:

• Ensure proper authorization of all purchases in conformance with Delegation of Authority
• Ensure proper GL account coding for all purchases
• Communicating with vendors to ensure that the AP ageing report is complete and accurate
• Working closely with Procurement department and Suppliers to investigate discrepancies and assist with enquiries
• Updating and reconciling vendor payments with Bank Accounts
• Providing management with and up-to-date AP ageing report on a weekly basis
• Posting of vendor invoices in the system and matching with P.O. and goods receipt
• Obtain approval, code and enter non-Purchase order related invoices
• Payment Runs preparation
• Posting of Bank transactions
• Daily Bank Reconciliations
• Posting of the Agent Commissions Invoices
• Maintain AP filing system
• Other tasks as assigned

Additional Duties:

• Primary contact for answering incoming calls, transferring calls and taking messages.

Position Requirements:

• BA degree in Accounting/Business; plus, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Accounts Payable / General Ledger / Bookkeeping.
• Good Computer Skills- Excel, and Outlook.
• Accounting Software – ERP systems a plus
• Good German language knowledge
• English desirable
