About the position!

In this position you will be responsible for architecture and implementation of firmware applications.

• Designing/Architecture firmware modules responsible for various sensor data acquisition

Requirements:

• Solid C/C++ background
• Understanding of embedded systems is considered as advantage
• Detailed knowledge of RTOS and/or Linux operating systems
• Experience with writing kernel drivers for Linux
• Experience with using open source development tools
• Experience with building embedded systems
• Experience with complete product development cycle will be considered as advantage
• Profound knowledge of communication protocols, file systems, TCP/IP and UDP and sensor data acquisition
• Knowledge of video compression and transport (streaming) technologies
• Knowledge of some of the source code versioning systems (Git, Perforce, Mercurial, SVN, CVS)
• Digital electronics knowledge will be considered as advantage
• Familiar with Unix shell scripting

Business Unit/Department

The Fitness Product Unit is a separate entity within the Consumer Business Unit. It is based in Central London and composed primarily of engineers dedicated to making world class products to enable and motivate people to participate in more sporting activity and to gain more enjoyment from the activity.

The unit has recently announced its first in a long line of new products, and is now looking to be on its success to date.
