What is the job about?

The The Local Category Assistant (CA) is responsible for administrative support to local categories related to both sourcing and relationship activities. This is to be coordinated and carried out in close cooperation with the Local Category Buyer responsible for the category. This position is needed over a period in which GRUNDFOS Serbia will receive additional and new productions requiring new external key suppliers and components to be settled and implemented in an optimum way from start and beginning.

Operational Procurement Management and Data management

• Responsible for creation and maintenance of all purchase related master data in accordance with Best Practice and carry out various data analysis using SAP, BW, Excel and Internet and other relevant systems or data sources
• Ensure the right price in the system according to framework agreement or agreed price list (info record, surcharge)
• Ensure creation and maintenance of supplier/source data and information
• Create and maintain other purchase related master data according to framework agreement or business terms agreed (transport table, tools etc.)
• Follow-up on price deviations and credit notes for local suppliers
• Collect and Review data from companies (spend, local market information’s etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completeness and accuracy of input to the strategic sourcing process
• Ensure correct classification of the purchased part numbers and ensure re-classification when relevant
• Collect long term forecast input as preparation for negotiation
• Handle investment reports related to investments or tools
• Ensure supplier access to the Grundfos Extranet and access to relevant specifications such as Grundfos drawings or standards
• Responsible for processing material changes and informing suppliers or operational unit of changes.
• Support implementation of EDI at suppliers
• Analyse areas where data in the system can be optimised and ensure data optimisation

Support Strategic Sourcing support

• Assist in preparation for strategic sourcing projects or activities
• Prepare and update framework agreements and appendixes
• Assists with preparing formal bid documents for products ensuring that materials are in compliance with Grundfos procedures
• Support validation of specifications prior to the RFX process (RFI / RFQ)
• Support the RFX process, upload data in RFX, support extracting information and register the result for further analysis
• Ad hoc analysis related to categories, suppliers or markets

Supplier Relationship Management support

• Assist in follow up on supplier performance such as VDP (vendor delivery performance), quality PPM, lead-time or other specific KPI’s agreed with the supplier and suggest improvement activities in case performance targets are not met
• Support implementation and follow-up on improvement activities agreed with suppliers
• Support communication and coordination between the operational unit, the Local Category Buyer and the suppliers

Candidate profile:

• Excellent in preparing and maintaining accurate records/data as well as data structuring
• Prepare and perform data analysis
• Structured and analytical with good system skills and understanding
• Service oriented, proactive and a good communicator

What are looking for:

• 3-5 years of working experience in similar positions
• University degree in traffic engineering, economy, organisational sciences or similar
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• High level of English language skills
• SAP knowledge will be considered as an advantage
• Driver’s license, minimum B category

 Additional information:

Category Assistant is a temporary position; we offer a contract for 18 months.
