Data Collection and Labeling Coordinator
MDCS is developing software for a number of machine learning algorithms, including image analysis (such as Optical Character Recognition) and document layout analysis. An important part of this development process is the collection and labeling of data samples used for training and testing of the machine learning algorithms.
We are looking for a person that would coordinate and drive overall data collection and labeling (DC&L) effort.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating daily DC&L tasks
- Driving, coordinating, improving, and documenting DC&L processes and procedures
- Taking part in development of labeling tools and tools for tracking labeling progress
- DC&L project management: monitoring, tracking, and estimating data collection and labeling timeline and deadlines
- DC&L hiring process: organizing DC&L hiring rounds
- Occasional market and user research
- Occasional work with hardware lab equipment
Required qualifications include:
- At least a B.Sc. in CS, EE, Applied Math, or equivalent university degree (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or etc.)
- Strong technical and problem solving skills
- Overall software engineering skills
- Passion for organization, quality, performance, and reliability
- English proficiency at the reading and simple writing level (email etc.).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
