We are currently looking for a
Database Administrator
based in our Belgrade office.
The new colleague will be responsible for the administration and technical and user support of various MSSQL databases serving our back office applications which provides online and offline monitoring, offline reporting and various other back office services for our main transaction processing environment.
Job responsibilities include:
- Understand the business, technical and operational requirements of the supported databases
- Install and upgrade database server and related application tools, allocate system storage and plan future storage requirements
- Modify Database structure, maintain system security and ensure compliance, Database user and permission management and review
- Performance monitoring and optimization, backup and restore data and recovery planning
- Participate and drive database enhancement and new development project
- Provide Database Administration 2nd Level support and on demand Database on-call support
- Work with internal department and with external partners and providers
We require:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- University or College degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience in MSSQL environment as Database Administrator on SQL Server (2008 R2 and later)
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database issues, knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, clustering, database mirroring, replication, AON
- Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
- Complex thinking in IT and business-related processes, flexibility and reliability, strong analytical, critical thinking skills
- ITIL/ISO 20000 certificate is an advantage.
