Director Network Operations 

Position in Belgrade

Essential Functions: 

  • Cooperate with TeleSign security organization to insure TeleSign’s infrastructure is secure.
  • Insure project, release related and problem management tasks are assigned to staff to meet organizational goals, release dates and insure stability of TeleSign services.
  • Insure operations team delivers on 99.99% uptime commitments and acquires / delivers infrastructure capacity to meets business needs.
  • Work with Engineering management on budget, staff performance, hiring and train staff to insure continued improvement in skills and allow staff to self-motivate.
  • Manage and operate Belgrade IT/BSS office infrastructure to meet Belgrade staff needs including laptops, VoIP phones, file-sharing/backup, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Provide project management on operations sponsored projects.
  • Participate in daily change management duties including rotational lead for the change management practice.
  • Participate as management and coordination presence during operational events including escalation to appropriate staff, documenting operational response, root cause analysis and action item follow-ups as needed. Includes availability on 24 x 7 basis.
  • Insure that appropriate policies and procedures are in place for the operation and management of the infrastructure (e.g. security, deployment processes, monitoring).
  • Perform vendor management and coordination as needed with 3rd parties including data centers, software and hardware providers.

Essential Requirements: 

  • 5-7 years of management experience of operations team, preferably in SAAS space.
  • Management experience of multi-faceted team including systems administrators, network engineers, database administrators, IT helpdesk and 24 x 7 network operations centers.
  • Experience in coordinating infrastructure delivery as part of a coordinated effort working with a development organization in an Agile SDLC.
  • Experience in architecting highly available and scalable multi-tiered and distributed networks.
  • Experience in multi-tier internet application platforms, especially service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience in systems administration and/or network engineering entering management.
  • Previous non-management, experience with one or more of the following technologies, Cisco networking, F5 load balancing, CentOS Linus, VMware, Microsoft Windows.
  • Operational troubleshooting experience to guide / assist technical staff as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills with ability to gather requirements, drive technical decisions.
  • Passionate, self-organized, with a proactive approach and able to multitask.
  • Ability to work with others well and participate on cross-technology teams.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Some international travel required.
