EU Twinning Project SR 2006/IB/FI/01
The EU Twinning Project SR 2006/IB/FI/01, a Serbian-German Co-operation, seeks for its Belgrade office a full-time Project Assistant for translation and interpretation. The appointment will start preferably on 15 September 2008.
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia in the formulation, negotiation and implementation of trade policy and in the negotiation of trade agreements.
Translator and Interpretator Serbian - English
Tasks to be performed:
- Supporting the Resident Twining Advisor (RTA) in the management of the project and in organising the day-to-day work at his office. This will include:
- Translation (English/Serbian/English) of documents related to foreign trade for the Project and the Ministry, in particular legal texts, by-laws, EU-regulations, booklets and presentation material;
- Provide consecutive interpretation at meetings, workshops and seminars;
- Close co-operation with the Serbian project partners at the Ministry;
- Any other work assigned by the RTA.
He/she should have the following qualifications:
- Excellent command of English as graduated/certified translator and interpreter;
- Work experience in an international environment, company or project;
- Strong organisational and communication skills;
- Ability to work in a small multi-country team;
- Flexible and service minded approach to work;
- Fully computer literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet);
- Experience in trade related work and economic and legal texts;
- Good command of German language.
Terms and Conditions:
- The assignment will end by November 2009. A competitive salary will be offered.
