Grand Hotel Gozo is looking for:
Head Chef – Hands-On
(Gozo, Malta)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive to motivate the kitchen staff to consistently produce high quality food.
- Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations
- Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour and overhead costs
- Check the quantity and quality of received products
- To report to management periodically
Skills:
Applicants must possess the following:
- Good communication in the English language
- Minimum two years' experience as head or assistant Head Chef in a 4/5 star hotel or fine dining restaurants
- The ability to maintain a disciplined but calm working environment
- Menu Planning and knowledgeable of costing and budgets
- The ability to forecast staff requirements to suit the level of occupancy
Salary:
Monthly Gross Wage: €2500
