STAX is a company of American Barry - Wehmiller Group, a worldwide leading supplier of production technologies for packaging, corrugated cardboard, foil and paper processing. Currently, they are expanding their finance and accounting team with new open managerial position:

Head of Accounting

Job description: 

• Makes accounting statements;
• Analyzes business activities and secures information about financial procedures based on entered documentation;
• Calculates VAT, makes tax balances, controls accounts and entries (analyzes positions on the accounts, cause of errors, determines error sources and orders corrections)
• Orders completion of missing documentation;
• Implements international and accounting standards and valid legal regulations;
• Controls calculation of wages, benefits and other incomes;
• Follow up with material and financial regulations and their accurate implementation in the company including bookkeeping;
• Represents the company before competent bodies regarding regular addressing and control and service delivery of advising character in the field of the tax policy and financial and material business;
• Responsible for implementation of all measures for safety and health protection at work;
• Responsible for entrusted paid-in assets;
• All information relating with business of the company shall keep confidential and not disclosed outside the company or to unauthorised parties;
• Responsible for scrupulous and timely performance in the framework of entrusted duty.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in accounting and taxation, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Serbian tax laws and regulations, as well as international tax matters
• Knowledge of the English language
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
• ERP implementation experience is a plus
