Head of Operations Europe (Component Services)

to work in Belgrade

The Head of Operations Europe is accountable for the Component Services operations and customer portfolio in Europe, including tasks related to the wing-to-shelf management, customer demand management and vendor performance management, all in accordance to contractual KPI’s. The position holder will ensure that the processes related to all regionally assigned customers and to the central organizations in Zurich or Malaysia are executed efficiently and effectively.

Your responsibilities:

  • Leadership of the Regional Control Center organization with 35 employees including abroad teams and reporting lines and within the financial boundaries given
  • Ensure that the global wing-to-shelf performance optimizes the material flow and the use of SR Technics’ assets
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of components to customers
  • Ensure an effective return management process of aircraft components
  • Monitor and control customer consignment stocks and trace the component flow
  • Attend customer review meetings and support other internal functions to improve operations
  • Ensure that the repair cycle management processes are executed in an effective and efficient manner
  • Assume responsibility for the global vendor performance management
  • Continuously review and improve processes to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure collaboration with the internal and external partners
  • Ensure a proactive mitigation of operational risk
  • Manage the assigned projects and support sales and commercial initiatives
  • Manage staff actively and develop the team and team leaders to achieve customer performance targets
  • Manage the yearly performance assessment and ensure the continuous training of staff

Your profile:

To fulfill this position successfully, your qualifications must include:

  • University degree (technical/engineering background desired)
  • Additional education in Business Administration or equal experience will be a plus
  • 10 years of working experience in aviation industry
  • 5 years of working experience in MRO industry
  • Strong leadership profile with a track record in leading people and leaders
  • International working experience
  • IT literacy (e.g. MS Office, SAP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Change Management expertise
  • Project management and process improvement expertise (Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodology would be an asset)
  • Ability to see the big picture and to take the lead to get things done
  • Structured and solution-oriented personality with proactive approach to challenges
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
