Health & Safety Training Instructor
Location: Nepal
Role Description:
The key responsibility of the Health & Safety Training Instructor would be to develop, co-ordinate, teach and promote a range of high quality Health and Safety training programmes.
Job description:
Working with our partners in Nepal, the training instructor will work directly with the in-country manager facilitating H&S training to our clients in the:
- Government Labour Departments
- Construction Industry
- Hospitality Industry
- Retail Industry
- Logistics Industry
- Manufacturing industry
- Education sector
Training will be delivered in various locations to our clients, training courses are, but not limited to:
- Level 1 Health and Safety in the Construction Environment
- Level 1 Fire awareness
- Level 2 Health & Safety in the work place
- Level 2 First Aid at work
- Risk Assessments
Key competencies:
- To establish, develop and run training programmes for all aspects of the health and safety areas, which meet employers’ statutory obligations under the new Nepal Labour law act 2047
- To develop and provide an effective induction to all participants on all the above training programmes
- Train and develop local instructors to increase the delivery of the H&S training in country
Requirements:
- Accredited training qualification, e.g. manual handling, first aid, IOSH, H&S level 3 training certificate, level 3 teaching in the lifelong private sector or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and relevant legislation
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to use own initiative in the management of delivering dynamic courses
Desirable qualifications:
- Professional qualification of instructional certificate to support H&S qualification or relevant certification.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The employment contract is for a 6-month period initially, with a view to extend for a further 6 months as the programme develops
- Accommodation will be provided in Nepal, with all necessary visa paperwork provided
- Salary will be based on experience and negotiated at the interview stage. The contract will be binding and in line with all international laws
