Inside Salesperson

POSITION SUMMARY

Inside Salesperson is responsible for reducing churn of existing clients and offering solutions to Backyard Brains’ existing clients. They will do this by having a good understanding of the benefits of our products and working to discover the best-suited solution for the individual client. The Inside Salesperson will have regular contact with the customer base, ensuring client satisfaction and cultivating relationships. We are looking for a high energy, results-oriented individual. The preferred candidate will have experience in Customer Service and Customer Retention. Sincere excitement for the product and mission will make you stand out and set you up for success.

RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE

  • Maintain accurate records of every client interaction in the Client Relationship Management system. 
  • Work with existing clients on how to use their services most effectively. Become the expert on Backyard Brains’ products and use this knowledge to handle and resolve customer inquiries by offering product information and troubleshooting of their current implementation. 
  • Actively educate existing customers on Backyard Brains products and services. 
  • Act as a client advocate within Backyard Brains, helping clients with billing, service or other issues through liaison with the appropriate department. 
  • Follow up diligently with clients on any open issues that might be causing dissatisfaction with Backyard Brains. 
  • Keep the customer informed of the status of open issues and communicate the steps being taken for resolution in a frequent and timely manner as needed. 
  • Propose and secure repeat sales for new and upgraded products.
  • Leverage customer relationships for testimonials and referrals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent negotiation skills 
  • Excellent organization, multi-tasking and follow up skills 
  • Detail Oriented 
  • Previous Customer Service, Retention experience 
  • Sales experience preferred

Backyard Brains is a tech-developer that is making neuroscience research tools, experiments, and curriculum available to students and amateurs across the world. See our 9x TED Talks on: https://www.ted.com/speakers/greg_gage.  We are based in Ann Arbor, MI, USA but have a regional presence in Belgrade and Novi Sad. While this position is remote (working from home and meeting online) we would like to have you travel to the USA and conferences for sales support and training. 

Your position will be a salaried position with paid vacation time through our Backyard Brains D.O.O. in Serbia. Monthly salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
