Ball Corporation is currently looking for a motivated and nimble person for the position:

Junior Buyer

(Location: GBS Belgrade)

Primary purpose of position:

As a member of Core GBS Department, it takes all necessary measures to achieve all the set business goals within the department, while respecting all existing global Ball procedures and rules regarding the quality of work, protection at work and environmental protection;

Responsible for ordering all office services, catering, travel, equipment, consumables, materials, invoicing and office inventory control. Collects and analyses bids from office suppliers, verifies that the terms of the offers are competitive with the market trends and delivers information about the best offer to the superiors. Prepares all necessary customs documentation.

Reports to: GBS Director.

Main tasks:

  • Negotiating with office suppliers and building long term relationships. Responsible for vendor communication, including complaints. Collecting and analyzing bids from office suppliers, verifying that the terms of the offers are competitive with the market trends and delivering information about the best offer to the superiors;
  • Issuing purchase order for vendors, monitoring status and deliveries;
  • Seeking for new and alternative vendors to ensure that supply, quality and cost needs are met;
  • Reacting to any changes in customer demand;
  • Responsible for office stock. Planning goods and stocks according to the budget;
  • Creating orders for goods and services in SAP, preparing and updating the documentation on each procurement in accordance with the procedures in the department;
  • Collecting documentation related to vendors; creating domestic and foreign vendors in Promenta (Software system for electronic data management);
  • Preparing necessary customs and transport documentation. The documentation must be prepared on time, properly and in accordance with the applicable legal regulations, so that the processes of the customs clearance of imports and exports can proceed smoothly;
  • Keeping documentation related to customs and goods updated and correct on daily basis.
  • Collaboration with local and central accounting / financial functions to ensure that all costs are recorded in a controlled manner.
  • And in connection with the above-mentioned tasks, all the jobs that the Employer is assigned to him, as well as all the jobs that are specifically agreed in writing.

Requirements:

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum IV level of education/Secondary school diploma
  • 2-3 years of working experience in similar jobs, knowledge of customs, foreign trade and foreign exchange regulations
  • Strong verbal and written skills of English language
  • Experience in using MS Office
