The Knowledge Manager is a highly independent expert enabler. S/He defines, manages, and implements knowledge management strategy, platforms, and activities, to ensure the 4500 colleagues of the Logistics Division (LOG) are aware and equipped with reliable, accessible, and applicable knowledge assets (procedures, instructions, internal communications, etc.). S/He serves as the overall responsibility for the knowledge management function within the division, administrates the global Change Control process, as well as manages and coaches a team. The role reports directly to the Portfolio Manager in Geneva, Switzerland.
The BSSC is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

MAIN TASKS
- Defines and implements long-term strategies for knowledge management, aligned with the division’s ambitions, internal and external needs/requirements, and in synergy with other relevant initiatives (information management, learning, and development, communications).
- Directly manages and continually evolves LOG Knowledge Management platforms, such as ‘the Logistics Knowledge Portal’ (based on SharePoint) and ‘the Logistics Manual’ (based on Dokiel).
- Oversees the Document Management System of the division and is accountable for its compliance.
- Administrates and supports the internal Change Control Process to facilitate the assessment, validation, and implementation of relevant changes in the division (mostly relates to changes in processes, systems, and knowledge assets).
- Works closely with various Business Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts on enhancing and maturing different units’ knowledge management practices and helping them reach their relevant desired goals.
- Troubleshoots and responds to complex customer requirements with appropriate and, when necessary, unique solutions, in line with organizational policies and guidelines.
- Manages and coaches a team of Knowledge Management Officers and Communication Officers (some on-site and some remote).
- Organizes global competency-upscaling efforts to build user adoption and proficiency in knowledge-management tools and methodologies within the division.
- Continually seeks opportunities for improvement and innovation within the area of responsibility.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Degree in information management, communications, IT, or quality management along with 7 years of overall professional experience related to knowledge management and/or quality management, focused on creating knowledge bases, disseminating knowledge assets, and/or in related roles (i.e., Document Controllers, Knowledge Management Officers)
- Proven experience defining and implementing knowledge-management vision/strategy in a company
- People management experience
- Computer proficiency:
- SharePoint (advanced level required / expert level strong asset)
- Office Suite (advanced level)
- Fluent command of English is a must
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
ASSETS
- French or other languages knowledge
- Previous experience with Dokiel is considered a strong asset
- Previous experience in an international environment
