Linux Engineer for the Production – IT team (m/f)
Belgrade
Job description:
- Acquisition of servers in external data centers, remote configuration and management of servers in various countries
- Provisioning Linux servers for our project teams
- Driving automated Linux server installations and updates
- Quality Assurance regarding functionality, usability, compatibility, reliability and performance of both software and hardware
- Live server monitoring, support and troubleshooting
- Close collaboration with the suppliers, users and management
Qualification
- Successfully completed studies BSc or MSc degree in area of Computer science or Telecommunications, or equivalent documented working experience
- Any experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Debian
- LAMP, Exim4, Dovecot, Proftp, IPtables, LDAP
- QA of provisioning or release processes
- TCP/IP based network protocols (e.g. HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, FTP, RTP)
- Knowledge in scripting (bash, shell, perl, python or similar)
- Linux based systems error analysis and troubleshooting
- Design of server delivery processes and plans
- Any experience of environment configuration, management or build automation
- It is plus to have knowledge in:
- Routing related protocols (Load-balancing, Round Robin )
- AWS cloud solutions
- Windows features and troubleshooting
- LPIC certificates
- DB server administration
- Server OS live upgrades
- Virtualization
- NFS server administration
- Monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Munin, Cacti, OMD)
- A degree of willingness to travel
- Language: Very good English skills are essential
