Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator Western Balkans
The British Council is looking for a Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator Western Balkans to join their team in Belgrade on a two-year fixed-term contract. The post holder will support delivery of the British Council’s marketing work in the six Western Balkans markets in order to achieve business objectives and positively influence policy makers and mass audiences across this region.
We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to support implementation of our marketing and communications plans and initiatives and maintain effective relationships and communications for products and services in the areas of arts, English, exams, education and society.
We are looking for a colleague who will work within our Western Balkans marketing team to design and implement innovative and effective campaigns to engage with targeted audiences in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
This role will envisage working closely with our Head of Marketing and Communications Western Balkans on delivery of our Marketing Strategy. This will include:
- acquiring market insights
- developing marketing and communications plans
- implementing event marketing activities
- co-ordinating our digital presence across Western Balkans websites and social media channels
- handling our media relations work

The Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator will supervise, mentor and directly line-manage Marketing and Communications Assistants participating in our marketing internship scheme.
For this role, we are offering a competitive monthly salary of EUR 1,450 Gross.
Who can apply
If you have a university degree or a professional qualification in marketing, communications or any related field, have at least two years of professional working experience in an organisational Marketing and Communications role in public or private sector, and are fluent in English and Serbian – we would love to receive your application.
