Operations Associate

As an Operations Associate you will be helping to set up Wolt’s operations in your country and running them together with the rest of your local team.

You will be one of our first employees on the ground, which is a unique chance for a startup-minded person early in their career. You get to be part of making us grow and conquer all the relevant cities in your country.

We hope to see commitment and willingness to go the extra mile, and while doing so you’ll learn about several different parts of our business, from marketing to building courier partner communities as well as helping our customers and providing them with a world-class customer support experience. Our operation is running seven days a week, so this role also requires you to be able to work on weekends.

You won’t be alone – the rest of the team will have your back at all times. This role might also offer the chance to grow into a more senior role.

What you will be doing:

The below is a collection of what you might be doing. The list is not exhaustive, and then again there are things on the list that someone else will handle. Also, the role might have a focus area, such as customer support. Still, here goes:

• Helping out with everything we need to do to be able to launch Wolt in your country: setting up the office, handling day-to-day chores etc.
• Handling and developing our 12/7 customer and courier partner support together with team in shifts.
• Supporting with local marketing, helping to build a local Wolt social media presence.
• Finding and onboarding our courier partners, handling courier gear inventory etc.
• Training / onboarding Wolt partner restaurants, building their menus, supporting them in day-to-day.

What we wish from you:

• Previously, people who have been a good fit in this role include people who just finished their university with relevant studies and or with some background in marketing/logistics/restaurants/sales/support.
• It’s a plus if you already have experience in a customer-facing role.
• You like working as a part of a close-knit team.
• You are known for making others excited to come to work and taking responsibility beyond the obvious.
• You are good at multitasking, as in our support, customer communication may happen through many different channels simultaneously.
• You are tech savvy and a quick learner.
• You're at least a self-proclaimed expert when it comes to your city’s food scene, traffic patterns, and the different residential and commercial districts.
• You have a can-do attitude and enjoy the idea of working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• You can work during weekends and in shifts (running the daily operations & customer support)
