INFORMATION ON THE POST:

• The NATO (Military) Liaison Office Belgrade assists the Serbian Authorities in conducting defense reform and developing links with NATO through the Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme. The position of Principal Interpreter/Reviser will enable the Office to communicate with the authorities and the population in its area of responsibility and to assure the Chief MLO Belgrade and his staff that this communication is effective, reliable and comprehensible to all parties.
• The work of Principal Interpreter/Reviser consists of revision, editing and translation of materials of varying degrees of complexity or technical difficulty, and also revision of materials translated by other parties and interpretation in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation from Serbian into English and vice-versa.

REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires someone who is university educated and who has at least 5 years of experience as professional English interpreter/linguist. The successful candidate will need to have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. The Liaison Office is a small team so good team-working skills and the need to work flexibly will be important.

WE OFFER:

• The gross salary for LCH-7 is 1,895.00 € per month while the approximate net salary is 1,330.00
