Process Control Manager

(Location: Nis, Serbia)

General purpose of the job:

• Responsible for process and testing optimization and to organize all technical aspects of new products introduction as well as to ensure that testing and manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently;
• Confers with management and projects to determine engineering feasibility and cost effectiveness for new and existing products;
• Report to the management the achieved FPY and root cause factors leading to product rejects and scrap and propose respective corrective measures.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Manages and coordinates activities of process department for preparation of feasibility studies, introduction, definition and validation of process limits/windows (meeting customer requirements, IMI standards and component specification), improve production techniques and develop test procedures/programs;
• Manage the optimization of the the processes, test programs and production including introduction of automation;
• Track and provide test/process cost estimation for the new RFQs;
• Responsible for bottleneck analysis and proposal of solutions for increasing the through output and efficiency;
• To organize the work schedule of the team departments’ members based on the expertise and workload;
• Lead technical clarification and specification for new equipments’ assessment;
• Lead acceptance and installation of new machines/equipment in production;
• Participate actively into root cause analysis and FMEA initiatives;
• To oversee the preparation and updates of the process/testing related documentation;
• Participate in daily Plant QRQC Meeting and reports department KPIs;
• To oversee safety at work; fire safety in the production area and non-violation of the rules for environment protection;
• To duly inform the Occupational Safety and Environment Protection representative about implementation of operations/processes which could have a negative impact on the environment;
• Manage, evaluate, coach and develop a high performing Process/Test team that meets agreed objectives, added value and continuous improvements;
• Participate in regular meetings to establish action plan for risk reduction; process optimization and improving production efficiency;
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports (SPC; Cpk, DoE);
• To be well informed and work in accordance with company’s quality, health and safety and environmental policy.

Requirements:

• Technical University Degree;
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing industry (Lead Engineering role in the automotive industry preferably electronics would be considered a strong advantage);
• Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making;
• Organized and with ability to set up priorities and follow them;
• Proven experience with DoE/DFM for process window creation and validation;
• Excellent leadership and people management skills;
• Deep technical knowledge in electronics and EMS production processes and testing;
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with multiple tasks;
• Focused, target-driven with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent conflict management skills.
