Your job

• The Project Engineer owns the manufacturing content for new product introductions. Provides manufacturing leadership and process expertise to drive NPI initiatives and successfully transfer them to manufacturing operations. Support the front development of best-in-class practices & standardization for NPI introduction, Product & Production process transfers, leading the set-up & deployment of the new Serbia Greenfield Plant in all operation related processes, including active participation in the control and coordination of Master Data and system control to enable seamless product transfers in alignment with Serbia Nis project plan timelines & objectives.
• Project manages new product, product transfers, prototype or process introductions through the quoting, pilot production, and release to manufacturing phases.
• Reviews engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and other documentation to develop manufacturing plans, production costs, work flow processes and detailed work instructions.
• Project may require to generates drawings, models and sketches using 3D modelling software to develop mechanical or electrical designs of production tooling, fixtures, gauges to support product launch.
• Understands and interprets engineering drawings, process specifications, 3D models, and design intents. Understands and interprets geometric tolerance, design intent, primary design features & tolerance stack-up
• Validates manufacturing processes and provides on-site NPI support through successful and sustained product launch.
• Interfaces with all assigned engineering areas & project team members to provide product DFX (Manufacturing, Assembly, Cost) inputs to enhance manufacturability & sustainability of new products through the application of best-in-class, standardized and preferred manufacturing processes controls.
• Interfaces with internal engineering, manufacturing support staff, production techs, quality and management to define, develop, document and train on assembly and test criterion, manufacturing methods, processes and procedures.
• Interacting daily with the Technical teams to ensure accurate interpretation their needs and requirements.
• Preparing clear & concise schedules, plans, milestones, resource needs and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception release to completion of qualification, including full participation in sustaining transfer and validation.
• Scheduling and Leading meetings, meeting room and conference call/video call meetings, in addition to presenting overall project status to Senior Team members or Exec Leadership and report regularly on project status.

Other activities and collaborative involvement, contribution activities could be:

• Understanding and provide cost estimates for new products and processes, using cost model and structure templates.
• Generate work instruction documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) which would be used by Product and NPI Project Engineering
• Create routings and key process mapping structures in SAP business system, ensuring seamless linkage to MES (Manufacturing Execution System), MES is our visual shop floor management system linked to process monitoring & key performance indicators.
• Develop cost efficient processes in production, using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools and methodology.
• Participate in the monitoring of Product & Process flow within the manufacturing operations, validate of optimized product and process launch, also post mortem of system versus actual activities.

Your profile

• Minimum university degree, preferred BS degree in Engineering or relevant field in in economy, informatics, process management.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proven working experience as a project engineer with a minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in an international and global company; preferably in a matrix structure.
• Experience in New Product Introduction processes & controls, Project management and supervision skills
• Business process and data management knowledge and excellent overall understanding of processes especially in the area of operations
• Strong communication, cooperation an relationship building skills.
• Problem solving skills, decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Able to work in a team orientated, target driven environment with minimum supervision.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
