Purchasing Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the procurement of direct materials for production needs
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
• Analyse and forecast material requirements based on production plans
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers
• Coordinate closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to support manufacturing flow
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including material usage and inventory movement
• Resolve material shortages and quality issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in sourcing
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through negotiations and process optimisation
• Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and reliability
• Assist in the procurement of components and services as per internal procedures
• Conduct supplier market analysis and support supplier onboarding and qualification
• Manage complaint handling and returns in coordination with relevant departments
• Support preparation of purchasing reports, contracts, and performance KPIs

Qualifications:

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
