We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team.
This role is key to ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement of direct materials required for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, experience in supplier management, and a solid understanding of the automotive industry supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the procurement of direct materials for production needs
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
- Analyse and forecast material requirements based on production plans
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers
- Coordinate closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to support manufacturing flow
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including material usage and inventory movement
- Resolve material shortages and quality issues in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in sourcing
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through negotiations and process optimisation
- Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and reliability
- Assist in the procurement of components and services as per internal procedures
- Conduct supplier market analysis and support supplier onboarding and qualification
- Manage complaint handling and returns in coordination with relevant departments
- Support preparation of purchasing reports, contracts, and performance KPIs
- Participate in cross-functional and international projects
Qualifications:
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
