Fuel to our sales machine - the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for servicing inbound sales and related inquiries with a focus on engaging and qualifying all prospective customers. The role will occasionally be called upon to make outbound calls to facilitate a booking.  These calls could be to a mover to confirm availability or to a customer to check in on satisfaction or for an update on the move process. This role is one of the first touch points for prospects and has the opportunity to set the tone for the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Effectively partner and work across the revenue operations teams
  • Potentialy contacting movers to inform them of a booking and confirm availability
  • Schedule appointments and video surveys for sales closers
  • Refer customers to the right Housing or Lifestyle partner
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email
  • Act as the subject matter expert on our housing product offerings
  • No cold calling

Performance Measures:

  • Pick-up Rate – 50 new leads assigned or referred per day and 50 existing leads followed up with which will include follow up calls/SMS/emails.
  • Cadence Compliance –You will respond to leads as quickly as possible to ensure we exceed the SLAs of our partnerships. This will require us to respond in under 30 minutes from the time the customer submits their information.  We will expect you to maintain engagement with the customer for at least 3 attempts (1 attempt per day) over 3 days.  These attempts will be phone, SMS and email to ensure we give the Shyft team every opportunity to meet the needs of the client.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) is a must
  • At least one year of relevant customer service experience is desirable
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • A genuine sense of customer orientation and the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Solid computer skills
