The Sales Engineerworks with Sales team as their technical / product counterpart in collecting requirements & advising our client prospects and enterprise restaurant brands on how to use & implement our product to best meet their needs.
The Sales Engineerworks closely with the Product team to build the best product for our customers.
Type of contract: Permanent
The key functions of the Sales Engineer include:
- Work with the Sales team and attend sales calls as a product expert and to understand and collect customer requirements
- Present our product and hold product demonstrations to prospects.
- Work with prospects, in close collaboration with Sales Managers, to understand requirements and advise on product implementation & roll-out
- Advise prospects on existing platform integrations with POS systems, payment processors, delivery management platforms, aggregators, customer data platforms, marketing automation & engagement platforms and product analytics tools
- Coordinate the development & roll-out of platform integrations (POS, Payment, Aggregators, DSPs, Analytics), working directly with customers, integration partners and our Product team
- Work on RFP responses and proposals, in close collaboration with the Sales and Product team
- Perform GAP analysis and Market Research of our prospects and competitors
- Work with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects & Developers to make sure our product meets customer requirements
- Ensure customer roll-outs are successful, by identifying requirements early in the sales process and advising prospects on what our product can support
- Receive customer feedback and work with the Product team to shape the future of our product
- Act as a customer-interface for the Product team
- Train the Sales team on our product and support in the creation of material and documentation to help the Sales team pitch the product
- Helps with the onboarding process of new hires at the company by providing initial product overview and training
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working on end-user products for the eCommerce, retail or similar industry
- 3+ years working in a customer-facing technical and/or product role
- Strong product & engineering background
- Deep technical understanding of mobile & web applications, server-side technologies and product integrations
- Strong English language skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with a wide audience: customers, development, product management and senior management teams
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects under limited supervision, including timelines, tasks, teams, group dynamics, etc.
- Willingness to do what it takes to ensure the team accomplishes its goals
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and “can-do” attitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to dive deep into technical details, while maintaining an understanding of the big picture
- Experience working in 50+ person product development organizations
Nice to have:
- Experience with POS systems, payment processors, CRM & engagement platforms or analytics & business intelligence tools
- Spanish and/or German language skills
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience working in a B2B SaaS company
