About the Role
Our team is looking for a Senior Auditor to join our office in Belgrade to execute our world-class financial operations on behalf of the organization and our clients. You’ll be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the integrity of the day to day reconciliation efforts related to financial money movement, client activity, and period reporting. This will include day-to-day investigations, closing of books, and signing off on and investigating any and all financial activity that the company or our clients perform to ensure they are compliant, accounted for, and confirmed across our various levels of reporting. As a Senior member of the financial operations team, you’ll be expected to lead and maintain globally recognized accounting practices of reporting and compliance according to various standards related to US reporting schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an audit plan and audit strategy for financial and operational audits necessary.
- Regular audit of the company books and accounting processes.
- Audit company operations primarily on processes with financial impact.
- Conduct special audits as requested by management and investigate cases that may arise.
- Lead and/or provide support to projects assigned especially projects that require audit checks to other teams.
- Work with the team to ensure compliance with all data privacy or data security of client sensitive information as well as other policies governing client transactions, as well as local (host country) relevant laws.
- Communicating efficiently with clients and team members regarding the audit process.
- Provide feedback and insights on how existing processes may be improved, either internally or at the client level.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics or something similar.
- Strong analytical and attention to details skills.
- Good apprehension to the end-to-end process of business operations.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both speaking and writing.
- Loan experience (lender GL’s & interest payment calculations) will be nice to have.
- Experience with NetSuite or/and Looker would be a plus, but it's not required.
