Job Title: Senior Payroll Analyst
Location: Belgrade, Serbia (in-office)
Hours: 8am – 5pm CST / 3pm – 12am CET

Position Overview
The Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and executing payroll processing with precision and timeliness across multiple states within the U.S. and pay groups. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, maintains accurate payroll records, and collaborates cross-functionally to support business objectives. The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of payroll systems, excellent attention to detail, and a strong customer-service orientation.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll runs for multi-state employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain payroll data integrity, including wage garnishments, benefits, bonuses, and other earnings/deductions.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and assist with audits as needed.
- Generate ad-hoc and routine reports for internal stakeholders.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Leverage payroll software to streamline and automate processing.
- Collaborate with HRIS and Finance to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement in payroll operations, identifying process gaps and recommending solutions.
Collaboration & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal departments.
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to support initiatives impacting payroll.
Qualifications & Requirements
- · Language: English fluency required (B2 or better)
- · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- · Experience: 5+ years of payroll processing experience for U.S. companies
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in major payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, data analysis)
- Familiarity with U.S. payroll tax regulations and reporting
Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
