What is the job about?
- Shipping and logistics performance management KPIs;
- In coordination with Corporate Logistics and local management, set and execute the transport strategy for the local company;
- Ensure custom and excise compliance for import and export of goods, as well as invoicing freight to fulfil local and regional regulations;
- Leading and developing shipping team;
- Lead process management within shipping;
- Support functional budget & KPIs;
- Manage and coordinate the physical transportation from suppliers and outbound to customers;
- Daily management of the execution of shipping according to agreed plans and service levels;
- Assuring trade compliance;
- The position report to European Shipping Operations Manager.
What do you need to apply?
- Relevant logistical background, e.g. Bachelor/Master degree, or relevant commercial experience (at least 5 years as a transport manager with responsibility for purchase and execution of freight);
- Management experience (minimum 3 years) with the ability to communicate, lead and motivate people;
- Decision maker with ability to take actions and solve problems;
- Demonstrate continuous improvement experience, build up improvement plans for delivery performance;
- Stakeholder management, create good relations to Corporate Logistics, local company management, local production/DC customers, Customer Service, physical flow managers & local supply chain responsibilities;
- Manage external relations with freight forwarders, local custom & tax authorities, local transport authorities & branch organizations
- Excellent in English written and spoken.
