Software Engineer I
Overview / Role:
Smith Micro Software is looking for Java and javascript developer to join our server development team in Belgrade. You will be working in a group built of creative and ambitious developers, implementing the latest technology in device management and policy management. There is an absolute focus on the product quality, long-term usage and agile development. You will be an important part of our entire development process, from design to release.
Responsibilities:
Work both within a team and independently on new features, improvements, and bugs. Design and implement features based on product requirements and lead it to acceptance by Quality Engineering. Work in a fast-paced growing environment and adapt to changing business requirements.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Basic programming skills and strong understanding of OOP concepts
- Strong learning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of web-application architecture (multi-module, multi-layered systems)
- Knowledge of Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, …)
- Knowledge of databases
- Design Patterns and Clean Code
- Fluent in English
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with web application servers, such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, GlassFish
- Experience with Build Management Tools – Maven, Ant, Bamboo
- Experience with Versioning Control Systems – Git, SVN
- Experience with Bug Tracking System JIRA
- Experience with Bamboo or Jenkins
Education Required:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent
