Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
- Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality and capacity fulfillment ensuring suppliers are able to meet specified requirements
- Monitor supplier performance over defined KPI’s (ScNcc, SDR, SFR) and coordinate implementation/progress of defined action plans to improve low performing suppliers
- Responsible for APQP planning process and kick off meetings for key suppliers utilizing APQP tools and workbook principles
- Conduct supplier quality procedure/process trainings and awareness activities with suppliers (MSA, PPAP, APQP, PDCA, APQP Workbook, etc.)
- Responsible for system and process audits at the suppliers with reference to VDA 6.3 and additional requirements specific to the customer, company, and with reference to latest version of ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
- Support/lead supplier related problem-solving activities in more complex, or escalation cases
- Support SQE’s on supplier related performance issues (conduct 8D verification, review containment process)
- Review and support in the disposition of supplier PPAPs and 8Ds (5-Why, Ishikawa)
- Transfer quality philosophy to all departments and conduct continuous process improvement
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate
- University or College degree, preferable in technical field or similar
- Proven experience in supplier development processes, ideally in automotive industry
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP tools, together with other relevant Quality tools
- Computer literacy (able to use advanced functions of MS Office)
- Full proficiency in English
- Great decision making and result driven person – able to set high standards and monitor progress towards goals
- Strong customer focus and the ability to implement service practices that meet the customers’ and our company needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills – can easily develop and leverage relationships within and across teams internally, as well as with external stakeholders
