Product Manager will identify, define and validate requirements arising within the market by working with internal stakeholders, gathering feedback from current and potential customers. He/she will understand the business objectives of the product and the customers’ needs and demands and communicate the requirements to the engineering and ops teams owning the backlog of a specific team.

 

Technical Product Manager

Position in Belgrade

Essential Functions

  • Classify business needs as being improvements, new features or potential new products within the context of the product line and overall product strategy
  • Ensure needs of internal stakeholders (Engineering, Routing, Operations, Finance) are captured in product requirements
  • Identify and communicate the priority of requirements with Engineering and manage expectations with business stakeholders 
  • Create, review and edit product specifications, documentation, user stories, mockups to communicate the business value on work proposed for the development teams
  • Manage product versioning, client and stakeholder communications and other go-to-market considerations
  • Perform all Product Owner duties
  • Assists Business Product Manager (Business Owner) in performing Business Product Manager duties
  • Ensures internal training sessions for their product portfolio is performed
  • Anticipate problems in the software development lifecycle and work to resolve them
  • Help ensure delivery of projects following engineering best practices

Essential Requirements  

  • Strong communication, leadership, conflict resolution and presentation skills
  • Self-organized, with a proactive approach and able to multitask
  • Very strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing software projects delivered to customers as SaaS
  • Knowledge of mobile communications, mobile telecommunications architecture and mobile messaging as well as related protocols like SMPP, SS7/MAP, etc.
  • Use of common issue / task tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
  • Experience using Scrum or other agile methodologies
  • Ability to work in a small company environment and interface with large Enterprise customers
  • Result oriented with strong organizational, planning skills and proactive approach
  • Adaptability, ability to perform under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • The passion and drive to deliver an exceptional level of achievement
  • 2+ years experience in software development
  • 3+ years experience in program/project management
  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API design (HTTP REST, JSON, etc) and web user interfaces (creating mockups)
  • Proven track record of success and delivering high quality, high scale SaaS products
