UBQ AS - established in 2005 – a Norwegian company in the Telecommunication and IT market. We are organized in two departments – Engineering and Staffing. Staffing - We support operators and vendors with technical specialist and project managers. Engineering - We are planning and implementing mobile, microwave and fibre networks. Today we are engaging 100 persons in the Nordic region - all customers are established telecom operators and vendors. Our main office is located in central Oslo, Norway.We have a daughter company in Belgrade, Serbia.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Telecommunications Technician
UBQ experiences an increasing demand for telecommunications technicians that will be engaged in projects located in Norway.
Primary tasks:
- Installing MW links and mobile base stations
- Inspecting and testing operation of telecommunications equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning (use of Site Master, TEMS, JDSU, Thales and similar tools)
- Diagnosing and locating equipment faults, and adjusting, replacing or repairing telecommunications equipment
- Installing, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment and systems
- Submitting project status reports, filling of check-lists, prepare As built documentation
- Performing other laboring and elementary tasks as required
Requirements:
- At least (four year) high school degree in the field of electricity, electro-mechanics, telecommunications and similar
- Experience in managing telecommunications equipment of Mobile Operators
- Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of telecommunications systems
- Work experience in Scandinavian countries is an advantage
- Fluency in English
- Driving license B category
- Independent and responsible person
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
