We are currently looking for a Therapy Development Specialist to promote and sell our advanced and innovative Brain Modulation, Pain & Pelvic Health products to hospitals and healthcare professionals in Serbia and Bulgaria (and occasionally - if needed - in North Macedonia and Montenegro).

A Day in the Life

The main purpose of this role is to sell and promote the innovative range of Medtronic products (Brain Modulation, Pain & Pelvic Health).

The jobholder is primarily responsible for promoting and selling the full range of products in assigned accounts or regions in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals, as well as for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will cooperate and coordinate activities with the whole Brain Modulation, Pain & Pelvic Health team in the territory in order to maximize the opportunities and build strong business relationships with customers, to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share, leading through economic selling, developing and presenting commercial offers:

Selling and account support

  • Present and sell products and services to current and potential clients in area of responsibility
  • Achieve agreed targets, focus on sales growth
  • Implement marketing strategies
  • Build on well-established relationships to become an expert advisor to healthcare professionals
  • Manage customer and distributors relations at all levels on the territory
  • Identify, actively participate in preparation and monitor outcome of tender offers within his/her territory.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
  • Build on well-established relationships to become an expert advisor to healthcare professionals

Education / Training

  • Maintain expert knowledge in clinical procedures
  • Educate referring healthcare professionals on clinical evidence of defined therapies demonstrating improved patient outcomes. Foster brand loyalty by selling Medtronic products, therapies and services which enable referring healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer trainings on a regional level when required.

Internal and administrative

  • Reports all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion using defined tools
  • Reports immediately and accurately all negative customer or product related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks…etc).
  • Carries out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner. Provides minimum, but regular activity report to the manager.
  • Attends all required regional and national meetings

Profile:

  • University degree.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably in medical devices/pharma environment
  • Good knowledge of English and Serbian languages, spoken and written
  • Computer literate
  • Team player
  • Adaptive, independent
  • Creative problem solving
  • Cross-cultural respect
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Reliable, well-organized, trustworthy
  • Open for a change, client- and patient-oriented
  • Sales abilities/persuasiveness, drive for results
  • Willingness to travel intensively (up to 50%)

Nice to have:

  • Degree in medicine, pharmacy, biology, medical-engineering, nursing or related life-science or health-science disciplines will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of healthcare structure, patient routes, referral pathways in neurology, physical medicine, neurosurgery, pain medicine, urology, proctology fields (strong advantage).
  • Excellent track record from previous positions and knowledge about sales processes, communication with doctors and patients (strong advantage).
  • Knowledge of Bulgarian language may be an advantage.
  • Experience in working in distributor environment (preferred, but not necessary).
