Time and Attendance Analyst

(Location: GBS Belgrade)

Primary purpose of position:

Responsible for leading efforts to configure, develop, and test, monitor and support changes and enhancements to Time and Attendance applications/systems to support business requirements. Mentors and trains locations under this office by providing guidance in solving problems and offering solutions. Ensures solutions are in alignment with the enterprise architecture blueprint, the solutions architecture and ensures that systems and application designs adhere to standards and policies. Ensures that all information technology investments are clearly aligned with the priorities of the business. Accountable for guidance and delivery of complex, technical solutions to business needs in regards to Time and Attendance.

Main tasks:

  • Provides leadership in the implementation and execution of technology solutions to complex business problems.
  • Defines component detailed specifications to solve complex business problems.
  • Delivers high quality technical solutions to meet business needs. Configures, develops, tests, monitors and supports changes and enhancements to applications systems.
  • Utilizes end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC) practices to deliver a quality product
    • Reviews software specifications.
    • Performs requirements analysis.
    • Develops and refines throw-away simulations or prototypes to confirm requirements.
    • Feasibility analysis, of solutions within the application.
    • Design, for new locations/countries.
    • Supports project management tasks like estimating and planning dependencies/risks, implementation (e.g., installation, configuration, programming/customization, integration, data migration).
    • Authoring documentation needed by users and implementation partners, etc.
    • Performs testing, including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from pre-release testers. Writes and reviews test plans/strategies to ensure software quality.
    • Participates in software release and post-release activities, including support for product launch (e.g., developing demonstrations and/or samples) and analysis for subsequent product build/release cycles.
    • Maintenance.
  • Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative technical solutions.

  • Suggests improvements to the SDLC process and tools for efficient software turnaround.
  • Defines the integration between proposed development projects and existing systems, software and hardware.
  • Ensures that systems and application designs adhere to standards and reflect the architecture appropriately.

  • Collaborates with other division’s leads as well as other stakeholders to align solution in support of the business’ tactical and strategic plans.
  • Utilizes industry best practices where relevant to Ball’s future.
  • Implements information technology standards and policies.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
  • While the regular working cycle of this position is usually five days on (Monday-Friday), this job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday); working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required between the assigned start and end times of work.
  • Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.

  • Ability to meet the knowledge, skills, abilities, physical requirements and working conditions set forth in this position description and on the attached Physical Demands Assessment.

Requirements:

Qualifications and experience

  • Broad training in a related professional field usually acquired through college level education.
  • 5+ years’ experience in implementing solutions for complex systems supporting business processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of Time and Attendance systems. Preferably Kronos in addition to other Time and Attendance applications in Europe.
  • Experience in the planning of programs designed to ensure compliance with the legal mandates.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:
    •  system and business principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in field; strong development skills in relevant technology.
  • Experience in driving software and technology solutions in large, complex organizations.
  • Proven project planning and management experience.

Key skills

  • Exceptional understanding of software quality principles including test methodologies.
  • Business process knowledge preferred (e.g., Plan-to-Produce process).
  • Strong estimation skills and techniques required.
  • Ability to apply standard evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard information technology services techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to participate with functional counterparts within the organization and through all stages of planning and development of program objectives; including directing and allocating the department’s resources, timing, etc., needed to assure program(s) completion.
