XHQ Developer

Responsibilities:

Candidate’s key responsibility will be to work closely with customers to understand their business needs.

Translate business requirements into an XHQ technical solution to increase revenue and profit and reduce operational risk. Develop estimates for statements of work, participate in client technical negotiations, perform solution designs and software configuration, provides solution

Requirements:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering. Employer will accept three years of studies toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering as equivalent.
• Knowledge of XML, SVG, XML parsers and XSLT
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and networking concepts is a requirement
• Understanding and/or experience with object-oriented programming
• General familiarity with web site design, web technologies, and web servers
• Understanding of databases, SQL, and database connectivity such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database or similar
• Some Experience using Agile programming techniques including: Scrum and/or Extreme Programming
• Familiarity with time-series data sources
• Minimum working experience:
• 5 years of industry experience in either Siemens’ XHQ product or related Oil & Gas based Operations Intelligence software product
• 5 years of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database
• 2 years experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Microsoft SharePoint
• 2 years of experience with OsiSoft PI, AspenTech IP.21, and Honeywell PHD
• 3 years programming experience in Java, javascript, VB.NET and/or C#
• 2 years of industry experience with Data Modeling
• 2 years experience in Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining or Petrochemical industries; integration, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and commissioning of control, information and communication systems
• 2 years of experience in architecture, development, and integration of Oil & Gas or processrelated information systems
• 1 year experience using Agile programming techniques including: Scrum and/or Extreme Programming

• Requires 30% domestic/international travel
• Languages: English (mandatory), German and Russian are desirable
• Understanding of Engineering work flow and requirements and general business procedures
