Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SYS DBA to manage and optimize our Teradata Vantage platforms (on-prem and cloud) and lead our modernization in Azure. Your expertise in Teradata and Azure will ensure reliable, secure, and cost-efficient mission-critical analytics.

Role Insights

• Optimize and tune Teradata Vantage performance (on-prem & cloud) and Azure SQL.
• Manage database workloads, migrations, upgrades, and patches.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security, compliance, and RBAC best practices.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Control capacity and cloud costs through forecasting and right-sizing.
• Automate tasks with BTEQ, TPT, Bash, PowerShell, Python, and support DevOps/IaC.

What Makes You Unique:

• 3+ years as Teradata Vantage SYS DBA (space, stats, workload, Viewpoint, DBQL/ResUsage);
• Experience with Azure DB solutions (SQL DB/MI, Synapse, Data Factory);
• Strong SQL and query tuning (indexing, partitioning, ETL/ELT optimization);
• DevOps skills (CI/CD, IaC, scripting, Teradata utilities);
• HA/DR and backup management expertise;
• Security and compliance (auditing, masking, key mgmt, privileged access);
• OS/network/storage fundamentals (Linux/UNIX, Windows);
• Relevant Azure and Teradata certifications;
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset.
