Environmental and Social Engineer

Main duties:

• Leads all Environmental aspects in coordination with site team and the General manager
• Leads all Social aspects in coordination with the BCE EHS team
• Monitors and follows-up the Quality based on:
• Environmental Management system, generally in compliance with the latest version of ISO14001,
• IFI’s Requirements (especially EBRD Performance Requirements and IFC Performance standards)

• Coordinates QHSE plans and audits
• Implements and monitors corrective actions
• Prepare Accident / incident report when needed
• Coordinates environmental monitoring on site and relevant sample analysis regimes
• Monitors objectives and the QHSE key performance indicators
• Takes appropriate initial action to secure the staff and equipment in case of emergency events, report such events promptly in coordination with the VWVO management, the client and the authorities
• Assists VWVO management in creating and updating the Overall Services Delivery Plan
• Raises the staff awareness of environmental risks

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor / Master degree / Environmental engineering or other relevant field
• Experience and practice on 14001 standard in industrial or civil works environment
• MC Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to plan, analyze and summarize
• English: working level
